I Have Returned to the River
The river has returned to its first meander
and has made
your presence last in what was left of the music.
I have returned to the river.
I submerge myself.
You once again run down my body,
On this resurrected afternoon
you come to surrender yourself to the small ones
and no trace of loneliness
remains in your waist.
The fish and the trees love you
for being the thread of life multiplied
through their fibers.
I drink your organic matter,
you nourish me,
and I too love you.
